This is the same Turkey Tail mushroom that the PSP Extract is derived from.
The PSP extract was found in a study at the University of Pennsylvania Veterinary School to provide longer survival times for dogs with naturally occurring hemangiosarcoma of the spleen (Splenic cancer)
Turkey tail mushroom has been used for centuries in Asia to provide immune support to patients who have cancer.
We provide this potent immune enhancing full spectrum mushroom extract in both capsules and in pouches filled with 45 grams of the same powder as in the capsule format.
Serving Sizes:
CATS:
1/8-1/4 teaspoon twice daily, mixed with food.
Dogs:
- Small: 1/8-1/4 teaspoon twice daily mixed with food
- Medium: 1/4-1/2 teaspoon twice daily mixed with food
- Large: 1/2-3/4 teaspoon twice daily mixed with food

They are not grown on grain as are most "mushroom" extracts, that really aren't mushrooms, but are mushroom mycelium (vegetative stage of the mushroom that is weak in activity as compared to the mushroom shaped fruiting body).
These mushrooms are all from the fruiting bodies, not the mycelium grown on grain.
If your pet has cancer, and you are feeding a ketogenic diet for that, or feeding a cancer diet that has no carbohydrates in it, you are destroying the value of your diet if you feed "mushroom" extracts that come from being grown on grain. They are 50% grain carbohydrates, not something very good for a cancer patient. These REAL MUSHROOM extracts have less than 5% carbohydrates, which is normal for a REAL MUSHROOM, not 50% which is normal for mycelium grown on grain.
